This is a very special edition dedicated to a very special lady who has generously agreed to share her brilliant and surrealist writings with us. A biochemist by training, Eve Lorgen dedicated her life to serving humanity by bravely delving into the darkest aspects of our shared destiny on this planet. As a healer, Eve is a dedicated counsellor and hypnotherapy professional, author, anomalous trauma researcher, Hatha yogi and Taoist Chi Gong practitioner. She was a close associate of the late Barbara Bartholic and is dedicated in continuing and expanding the work of the late Dr. Karla Turner. Karla Turner died of cancer on January 9, 1996, after being threatened for her work. She was just 48.

Anomalous trauma is defined as traumatic events that are out of the normal range of human experience. The term was created in the early 1990’s following several conferences held by Dr. Rima Laibow, PhD., on the research and treatment of experienced anomalous trauma.

Eve is also an excellent poet. The poems which open this edition of The Red Hibiscus bear witness to her innate sensitivity of soul, keen intellect and refined culture. You can find out more about Eve Lorgen, her research and healing mission on her website https://evelorgen.com/wp/.
