‘’Learn this from the waters: in mountain clefts and chasms, loud gush the streamlets, but great rivers flow silently.’’

(Gautama Buddha)

“How should men know what is coming to pass within them, when there are no words to grasp it? How could the drops of water know themselves to be a river? Yet the river flows on.”

(Antoine Saint-Exupery)

“In one drop of water are found all the secrets of the oceans.”

(Kahlil Gibran)

There is something calm, cool, and contemplative about water — from a still puddle to the shifting ocean. And accordingly, poets, spiritualists, and writers from antiquity to the modern era have found limitless inspiration in so many waves, ripples and reflections. As the quotes above remind us, the essence of humanity is contained in every human life. Yet each of us can contain something greater than ourselves. Therein lies the holographic principle upon which the entire universe operates.

This edition starts with Ripples, a most Zen and thoughtful poem by Line Monique Gauthier. Ms Gauthier grew up in Northern Ontario and graduated from Ottawa University. She started writing poetry as a teenager and the passion for it flourished when she left the federal government after 25 years of dedicated service. Line Monique also pursues photography watercolour/acrylics painting. Her tender, down-to-earth and very Zen writings are a testimony to her healing mission here. All published photography/poetry books are presently available on Etsy.com under the name of UniVersesCanada.

It’s also my great pleasure to close this edition with most excellent works by Iqbal Osman, another soul committed to healing. Mr Osman is a medical scientist and psychologist who is also interested in the metaphysical. Every poem by Iqbal takes us on a magical journey of exploring metacognition. Like Line Monique, he has a passion for the visual arts. You can find his photography here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/82066314@N06/. Interestingly, Neptune rules over cinema and photography in astrology.
